Gary Atlatl Dart 1 15/16" (Frisco Chert?)
Found a nice little Gary atlatl dart (projectile point) while poking around at my favorite place in the world to be, the ancient Arkansas River in Northeast Oklahoma. This little guy was buried under a layer of oil-saturated organic material, mostly leaves, and was quite a surprise! It measures only 1 15/16" and appears to be made from Frisco chert that has not been heat-treated, meaning it was probably very difficult to make.
